These are the questions I ask potential clients before I send a proposal.
- When is the event?
- Where is the event?
- What are the times of the event?
- Do you have an agenda? (Maybe we need more than one videographer)
- How are you going to use the videos?
- Do you want music added to the video?
- Do you want graphics?
- By when you need the final videos?
Note: If you think I should be asking different questions, please leave a comment or send a Facebook message.
When is the event?
The reason I ask this question is to make sure my team and I are available. If I’m not available, there is no point to continue the conversation.
Where is the event?
The reason I ask this question is to communicate that theirs is a traveling fee if the video shoot is more than 60 miles of Brooksville, FL. If the event is within 60 miles of Brooksville, FL there is no additional charge.
What are the times of the event?
The reason I ask this question is to calculate how much time and to make sure we bring all the required equipment, and there are enough SD cards and back up hard drives.
Do you have an agenda?
The reason I ask this question to go over what’s going on during the event. To check if multiple things are happening at the same time. This will help me determine how many people we will need to capture everything that needs to, i.e. video and photos.
How are you going to use the videos?
The reason I ask this question is to know if the finished video needs to be in a specific size, resolution or format.
Do you want music added to the video?
The reason I ask this question is to make sure you get the songs, sounds, and or special effects you want.
Do you want graphics?
The reason I ask this question is to collect any existing brand colors, logos, graphics that you will like us to use or to know if we need to create new graphics for you.
By when you need the final videos?
The reason I ask this question is to know if you have a specific time and date that you need your finished videos by.
